University Counseling
Enhance the quality of your college experience

Welcome to University Counseling

University Counseling is a group of individual private practitioners providing clinical services designed to meet the needs of a wide range of individuals, but places particular emphasis on the needs of the college age population. Services include initial evaluations, psychotherapy, medication management, and (soon to be offered) psychological testing.

Other specialty services include grief counseling, substance abuse treatment, and consultation for learning disabilties. This can also be done in consultation with academic programs to ensure a smooth transition back into school, and at the same time assist in helping the student obtain the optimal outcome from his or her college experience.

University Counseling offers psychiatric services in the Northern Virginia region.  We are located in Centreville, Virginia, in the western part of Fairfax County.  Dr. Roy Michael Stefanik, a psychiatrist certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in adult psychiatry, founded the center in 2008.
